Mend Gardenline CS5300B-4 Pull Model Start Spark

Gardenline cs5300b-4 hard to pull chord?

I have a Gardenline chainsaw model cs5300b-4 and it's hard to pull the chord and won't start. When I remove the spark plug it pulls much easier. With the plug back in it's hard to pull as though there's too much compression. I removed the muffler and still hard to pull. Is it the carburettor? If so what should I look for?
