Mend Toshiba DR420KU Model Screen Tv

How can this be fixed?

I have a Toshiba Recorder Model DR420KU that now has a blue screen on the TV when I switch to the HDMI cable connected to the TV to record or play. It worked fine I even had a new laser installed but that was not the answer.
