how do i put door together?

HNF2137, i bought a replacement door catch release, it arrived in 3 pieces, i tried so many times to put it together unsuccessfully, the problem is the spring, i tried it in so many different ways still wont release the door, anyone have pictures or drawings to help me please, i have the older type not the 'all in 1 ready made
