Try cleaning the air filter first then adjusting the mixture ratio screw on the carb so it isn't running so rich.
If these don't work, you'll need to consider the possibility that oil is being burnt in the cylinder. This could be caused by overfilling the oil, or engine wear in the form of blown gaskets or worn piston rings
