Hi can any1 help i tipped my lawn mower backwards (as the manual states) to clean out the blade area and when i restarted it smoke comes out of the side of the engine i left it for a couple of weeks and tried again but still smoke keeps coming out even when i turn it off smoke will keep coming out for a coulple of mins any ideas what could be causing this thanks
Hi as John said. Just run it it will burn off. Oil has got past the piston rings when you tipped it. A little bit of oil makes a lot of mess and a lot of smoke. Dont put washing up liquid in anywhere.

Just run the machine until the smoke clears, Mike - they all do it once the machine has been tipped. When the smoke has gone (takes 5 mins or so) check the oil level and forget all about it.
