Mend Corby 2200 Press Button Lights

Corby Trouser Press 2200?

The press down button only lights up as long as kept pressed and makes a continuous bussing sound. It is therefore not heating up. The response from Corby was to offer me a new model at 15% discount. Is it possible for me to repair it?
