Check to see if there's 240V on the motor. If there is, and it ain't rotating, the motor is knackered.
If there's no 240V, trace back thru the appropriate switches and see if there are any duff connections and / or switches.
If you can't work out how to do that it'd probably be a bit (read: Lot) safer to get someone _competent_ to do it for you.
