Mend Corby Pants Press Panel Apart

Repairing the bottom of the Corby Pants Press?

The front panel of my press has come apart from the body of the presser. I have retrieved a metal Rod for which there appears to be no bracket. The press still works but I can't figure out how to reassemble the base. Any hints would be great.
