washing machine door?

i have a hotpoint aquarius 7kg wash machine.will not work because press start button keeps telling me door .all the time and will not start.cleaned filter still not working.
any ideas please

My idea is that there is something wrong with the door.
I do not think that there's anything wrong with the filter.

Door...........WHAT?

If it it telling you door not locked or door not closed, maybe its a problem with the catch or the switch in the catch which senses the door is closed & locked.

Why not do a Google search for "make model door lock" - replaving "make" and "modek" with your own info
