Mend Not Working Correctly

not working correctly?

installed a fresh duracell battery, worked ok for awhile , then eventually slowed-up. i've been trying different solutions. with the clock laying flat it's been working 100%, when in a vertcal position, such as on the wall, starts acting up again. help!

1) Have you considered that the battery you installed was defective and gave up too soon?

2) The mechanisms for battery operated clocks are very simple and very inexpensive - easy to replace too - Amazon sell them
