How to repair my singer futura 250. ?

I sent the embroidery unit to be repaired and the service tech said my machine must not be working correctly. Could it be in the software? Is there a way for me to fix this myself?

there is a site where you can download software for this machine but i am having trouble finding it again,not so easy to determine without knowing exaxtly what problem is.will google some more and try find site for you
