Beko wmb 71642w?

Machine was working fine but the door seal had a hole in it. Bought and fitted new door seal put machine back together and plugged in. Orange LCD display shows zero minutes and has a flashing arrow (like a play button) but the temp and other parts of the display are blank. If I press start / cancel button it goes to 18 minutes with the arrow still flashing but nothing else lights up. Changing the selector dial makes no difference and neither does holding down the start cancel button whilst operating the on / off button.

As I say, everything was working fine apart from the leaking door seal that I replaced. Really stuck now !!
