Mend Smeg Gas Cooker Oven Turn

our Smeg gas cooker oven will light when you ignite it but won't stay lit?

When I turn the cooker on it will ignite but then the flames go out as soon as I stop pressing the ignition switch.
Might a gas outlet somewhere have got blocked / need cleaning? Or is this likely to be an (expensive) job for an engineer?
