Mend Parkside PABS 18V Battery Light Seconds

I have a fault on my 18v parkside battery charger. ?

When i plug the battery on to the charger, the charge light comes to say it is charging but after a few seconds it changes to say the battery is fully charged. Any ideas how to fiix it.
