I have an Ranger American alarm system that 7 years old. We have never used it as an alarm system, but it is on so it beeps when the doors and windows are open. The other day we had a power failure. After that it would beep every few seconds and the trouble light is on. I set and reset it and nothing seemed to work. I called the number on the system and was told that the battery is probably bad. After this the trouble light went out until today it started beeping and the trouble light is on. I replaced the battery but the light is still on but it doesn't beep. I never had a manual I would really like to get one if possible. Thank you
It's basically alerting you to set the system time George.
Let me see if I can give you a link for the user manual.

Go to the keypad and press [*] then [2]
Tell me what lights are lit or if LCD keypad what it says.
I've a sneaky feeling the system is one of the DSC pcx range.
