Mend Iron Power Cord

how can i fix my waffle iron?

how do I connect power cord to heating element,the very end of the elementwire broke off,i thought if I solderd it, it would just melt?

The element wire (resistance wire) will not melt - and it will very probably not take solder i.e. solder will be unlikely to stick to it.

You will do best with a mechanical junction such as a small brass junction block with two holes and tiny screws.

You might consider a new waffle iron - to be safer.
