glowworm spacesaver mk 2 no hot water?

definatly the diverter valve ive had this problem twice in the last 10 years and buying a new diverter valve has solved the problem

Your problem is most likely going to be either a zone valve or diverter valve on your system, check that it is opening, if there was a problem with your boiler it would not give you any heating either. If the valve is not opening you will see a lever on the casing move this to the manual position and lock it there and this should sort out your problem and if it works check there is power from the cylinder stat if there is it is likely to be the synchron motor on the valve these can be changed on most valve types.

No, its not a combi boiler, it just heats a tank in the attic?. But i cannot get hot water upstairs or down, as i say but the central heating is working fine?

does the flame on the boiler go out when you turn the hot water on and it comes back on again thus not letting your water warm up properly.
if this is the case then your domestic heat exchanger is clogged up and needs to be cleaned.
