how do I clean filter in Hotpoint Aquarius 1000 de luxe WM 22?
My Hotpoint Aquarius 1000 de Luxe WM 22 washing machine has a smell coming from the drum of "stale water".I have no idea whether there is a filter that needs cleaning and if there is,where it is and how it should be cleaned.Can anyone help me?
Filter is generally located at the lower front of machine, behind a small hatch. Smell is most likely caused by microbial action in the drum which is an unfortunate side effect of modern enzyme based detergents. put in a cup of vinegar and wash on an empty load. check out www.2ndwave.co.uk/manual.html
