Mend Siemens xl532 Need New Gas

Do the Shock absorbers need new gas?

My Siemens Siwamat xl532 is really jumping around the floor at the start and end of the spin cycles and the drum is also knocking on the body. This is with light and heavy loads and balanced loads. I see there are shock absorbers attached to the drum below and springs above. How long do these components last and could they have worn out (springs) or shock absorbers need gas?
