kw rating of new world merlin gas fire?

put fire on full
go to gas meter note last 3 digits stopwatch for 2 minutes, note the last 3 digits on meter again.
eg was 123 now 145 difference is 0.022
0.022 x 321 = 7.062 ( kw gross)
7.062 / 1.1 = 6.42 ( kw net)

Hi, I don't have an answer I'm afraid, but am wondering which New World Merlin fire you have .... we've got a Merlin 017079, and a gas engineer has told us the fire may be unsafe unless the ceramic coals are arranged correctly as per the manual. But we don't have the manual, and can't find one ....
