Mend Renault Trafic Diesel Engine

2007 reault trafic wont rev over 2700?

I have a 2007 2.0dci traffic when it running I cant get it above 2700rpm white smoke appears when reving anyone have any ideas?

EGR valve (it is a cylindercal device) with wires coming out. fault.fitted near the exhaust outlet.Remove and clean with petrol or carb cleaner.

Have you checked for any splits/leaks in your intake system and any play in the turbo impeller? Might be worth a look,good luck.
