Mend Vauxhall Vivaro Plate Week Started

struggling to get into gear?

Hi, I have an 07 plate Vauxhall Vivaro van. Been away for a week so van has been standing. Just started up and struggling to get into gear, especially reverse. Not had a major run yet in case anything serious. Any ideas? Thanks

Thank you cdc, I think you are correct. I took out for only 10 mins and within this time gear changing got easier.I will see how it is tomorrowduring a working day. Much apappreciated ☺

It is possible with the motor sitting for a while there is slight drag on the centre plate splines,if you feel the pedal itself feels normal and the bite point of the clutch itself is the same then I would get the motor out for a good run, up to running temp. changing gear regularly,if it is the same then suspect clutch clearance problems.
