Mend Aqualisa IPX4 Shower Button Pressed

Aqualisa IPX4 digital processor that does not start?

I have an Aqualisa IPX4 digital processor that does not turn on when
The shower button is pressed. I have swapped the processor for an identical unit I bought used on ebay and that's working perfectly.
Is it worth trying to find the fault with the old one or should I just bin it ?
