my renault twingo 2008?

i have an immobiliser problem car starts fine all the time but 2 times now ive gone to it and here isnt even a click when i turn key in ignition the only way ive overcome this is by disconnecting the battery then reconnecting it...... is this resetting the immobiliser and how do i permenantly fix this problem please anyone
