Mend Gardenline Timer Working Properly

Gardenline waterer timer (from Aldi)?

Hi

I connected this last week, but not working properly. It does not say which way water in should be connected. Actually I think it should not matter. It certainly is not indicated on timer or in instructions? Which way is working you you out there?
