how do i disable the outer door of our dyson washing maching ?

my dyson washing machine comes up with close outer door but he door is closed. I know once before when we had to have an engineer out he had to take the outer door off and order us a new one but he did something to the machine that allowed us to use the machine without having the outer door on. can anyone help us with this.
