Mend Vauxhall Corsa Sport Ecotec Revs High Help

Corsa Sport Ecotec revs to high?

Hi can anyone help me my 1996 corsa is revving up and down after 5 mins of driving the engine management light comes on and it starts running lumpy. Someone told me it could be the idle control valve any help would be appreciated thanks.

your firemd could be right the IAC valce as its known can cause this problem, usually yoiu remove it and clean it out with brake dust remover and refit.

also the lambda sensor can cause the car to run lumpy.
