Mend Hoover TC650 Dryer Timer

Hoover TC650 Cond. Tumbler Dryer Timer Sticking?

The timer control has become very tight and now impossible to turn on my Hoover TC650 Condenser Dryer. It's not the newest of machines. How do I fix it please, and any idea of cost?
