How can I fix my refridgerator?

I have a Samsung RB1944SL bottom freezer/refridgerator that I'm having problems with. Earlier this week, the fridge was making a strange noise like it was "exhaling". I unplugged the fridge and replugged in. Now the fridge will not freeze and the temperature is going up in just the freezer section. Am I having a compressor issue? All the troubleshooting from the manual has been reviewed and still not working.
