Mend Stannah 420 Problem Developed Fault

Stannah 420 Problem?

Our Stannah Stairlift 420 has just developed a fault, it will go down ok but not up, l can manually wind it up but there is no click from the arm switch to send the chair up. Could this be a brush problem and if so how do l clean or replace it/them or is it a problem with the arm toggle switch ?, thanks.
