how to fix a RW Bantam ecotherm gas heater?

My bantam gas heater will not ignite. The pilot light ignites when I try to put it on, but does not stay lit when I let go of the gas knob. The pilot light should stay on after a few seconds and then allow you to adjust the gas power. Can anyone pleas help?
