Stop light on Renault megane dy ?

The battery light and stop light came on when the fanbelt snapped on my Renault megane dy so I replaced the fanbelt the battery light has gone off but the stop light is still on dose any one know why and what I will have to do thanks

It may just need put onto a code reader to delete your fault, there again it`s a Renault so expect more problems, good luck.
