Is my dryer broken?

I plugged in my Whirlpool dryer last night to use it. It is 4 years old and gets used very seldom anyway no lights came on. I checked the plug and socket, changed the fuse in the plug and still no power.
I checked that everything was emply the filter and water condenser they were, then I cleaned the filter again and checked the hole that goes from the filter and all seemed ok.
Can you advise what I can do, before I have to spend 70 euro for a call out.
