How to fix a Flymo Maxi trim 430?

My Maxi trim 430 has a perished fuel pipe that needs replacing. I have moved the pipe a bit and think it has a bit of slack. Could the pipe be attached to a filter inside the tank, if so how do I get at it as the tank appears to be bonded on. When the job is done what is used to make sure fuel does not run down the outside of the tube,as the tube goes through a hole on the bottom of the fuel tank.
