Mend Neff Dishwasher Wont Start

neff dishwasher won't start?

had a Neff intergrated dishwasher installed (poorly, not level, catches on kickplate under unit on opening) will not start the wash cycle, the timer on the top inside the door seems to be stuck on 00.01 and will not either increase or decrease when timer button is pressed, also when closing the door we originally had to push it hard so it would click into the latch and then it would start, but that does not work anymore either it does try to start for a millisecond and then shuts down. any suggestions?

Possibly the decor door of the machine, if it stands higher than the height of the door, is contacting the kitchen cabinet before the door has fully shut. The door switch mechanism is operated by a magnet aligning with a reed switch if the door does not shut fully they don't align. You could prove this by removing the decor door (the 2 screws top left and right and the 2 middle screws left and right) if it works ok with the decor door off call the installer back to refit it correctly. When door off try "reset" before starting.
