My Mondeo engine cuts out?

Every now and then my 2005 Mondeo 2.2 engine just stops. I turn off the ignition key and then turn it on again firing the engine and it will then run without any problems for possibly three weeks or more before doing it again. On diagnostics there is never a code showing the fault.
