Mend Singer 4206 Machine Appliance Problem

Foot pedal problems with singer inspiration 4206?

When foot pedal on my singer inspiration 4206 model is plugged in the machine takes off and will not stop until unplugged. Problem with foot pedal or machine itself? This is a relatively new machine that has only been used a few times. Help.

the noise surpressor inside footcontrol is the problem,its normally a round unit with two wires in between main power wires,remove it and your problem should dissapear
