Patty, what's the condition of the brush roll on your Hoover Windtunnel vacuum cleaner? Is the brush roll turning when the machine is powered on?
If not, then check the belt and make sure it's not stretched out. A belt that's too loose will slip instead of turning the brush. Also check the brush rolls themselves and make sure they can be turned by hand. These machines often have wear on the brush roll ends which makes them hard to turn
If you need any parts, then check your local vacuum shop. The shop in our town of Indian Trail, NC is super and can also help you out. Their website address is http://www.APlusVacuum.com and their phone number is 704-821-3863.
I had a similar problem with my Wind Tunnel and they fixed me right up with the parts I needed.
Take care!
