Mend Hoover 1200 Repair Washing Machine Fault

Start mechinism on door faulty- hoover 1200?

I have to press hard on the door latch to get the machine to start, sometimes quite hard, is this a faulty switch and how do I repair or replace before any major damage occurs?

If the door hasn't drop then it could well be a door interlock issue.you need to undo the door gasket from the front panel and then undo the screws securing the door lock.undo the wiring.fit new one in reverse
