After 3rd unsuccesful attempt to guess security code asked for set goes into protect mode & reqs to be unplugged for some time b4 the following:- Within 5 seconds hold in the volume down on the TV at the same time as pushing the Number "7" on the remote handset. The set should then come on in the "unprotected mode" & you can see & alter the pin code in the correct menu if you desire.
