Problem finding a 'video' channel?

I have a portable Matsui tv/dvd player (model 1410) and I cannot find the video channel! The instruction manual was translated so poorly into English that it is impossible to work out.

I can't find it using a video recorder connected via scart or a dvd recorder connected by scart.

I have never had this problem before & have set up/found the video channel on many tvs.

Can anyone help?

Ok so now I have found the AV button & located the video channel - hooray!

My next problem is the dvd recorder is not playing ball now! I have connected the tv & dvd recorder using a scart lead and I have connected the dvd recorder to the outside aerial and then the recorder & the tv are connected using an aerial lead. But when I turn the dvd recorder on the display has this message "NO SIGNAL EXT 1".

The dvd recorder has two scart sockets & I have tried using them both (the tv only has one scart socket).

If you have a SCART socket then you will have a button. It may be labled other than AV though.

Well there is no AV button on the remote control & I have pressed every other button with no joy.

I have emailed the DSG techies but have had no reply.

ARGH!

Thank you I will give that a go.

If you are connecting by a SCART cable then press AV on your handset. If that doesn't work (I don't see why it shouldn't though.) and if the manual really is so bad why not ask DSG technical people. (Matsui is a DSG Own Brand.) at www.thetechguys.com
