How to fix Goodmans TV model GTV34RDVDXI?

I have a Goodmans TV/DVD Combo, model GTV34RDVDXI, which does not power on. At switch on all you hear is a clicking sound of the chopper transformer on the power supply section. I believe that there is either a component short circuited or open circuited but I cannot determine which one. I do not get the required voltages on the secondary side of the transformer. Therefore the HV cannot be generated to give a picture. Does anyone have any ideas or experience with this?
