Mend John Deere LT150 Riding Mower

Advice on LT150 John Deere Riding Mower?

I have changed out cracked fuel line, filter and pump. Mower still fails to start on own. Adding fuel directly to carb, machine starts but soon stops upon exhausting primer gas.

What could be the problem?
