drive shaft?

I take it you mean out of the g/box? Seeing there is no vehicle information then either check there is a circlip on the end of the inner c.v joint,some French cars don`t have this,check engine/g/box mountings and the last one I had like this had a faulty diff. and ended up getting a replacement g/box.
