v/vectra c 2.0dti?

I have a problem with my 52Reg 2.0dti Vectra, for about a month now it has a lake of power & the fault light coming on at start-up and also if drive with revs over 3000 rpm in 3,4 or 5 gear.

In 1st, 2nd & netural the car revs to 5000 rpm with no warning light coming on.


After reading many threads about the EGR valve cleaning etc, I have taken the EGR valve off and cleaned the carbon build up (was about 2mm thick), have also checked all the hoses and cannot find any splits etc.

Has anyone else got any idea's?
