dishdrawer not turning off?

bottom drawer of dishwasher turned on about 8.00 pm and found it was still going in the morning. drawer was full of soapy hot water and when power button turned off on actual machine immediately started again at beginnning of cycle. could only stop by leaving drawer open or turning off a power point.
