how to replace halogen hob element on zce7701?

Front right hand element needs to be replaced on my ZCE7701 ceramic hob element. What do I need to take apart to get at the element. As far as I can see the top hinges upwards but how does this happen as it seems to be held by the control panel.

remove the side panels and you will see 4 screws hold the ceramic hob on to the oven frame
