Mend Hoover Door Flashing Open

Door light flashing and cycle won't begin?

I have just had the Hoover engineer here, and he has fixed the door spring for me, it wouldn't open. Now the door of the washing machine is working fine but it won't start the cycle. The door light is just flashing?

I have to wait a week before there is another engineer available!!!
