xbox 360 flashes red will not boot?

My xbox 360 flashes red and makes a scratchy noise but will not boot up, can you help me please!!

Microsoft have upped their warranty for the flashing red lights issue to 3 years.

See here for contact number, they will collect the console & repair/replace it.

same thing happend to me try wrapping it in towels turn it on for ten minutes and then turn it off then on again see if that works
