Mend Lane Rocker Recliner Back

lane rocker recliner too far back?

it sits too far back and when you sit in it it goes way back, very uncomfortable. Have already changed the metal bottom, was wondering what else to do, no one wants to sit in it. Can you reposition the back and maybe bolt front springs somehow ???
